music lingers 
even after he leaves 

夕日のセレナーデ
音楽が長引く
彼が去った後も

mountain top nest ...
the sun rises
in an eagle's eye

山頂の巣
太陽が昇る
ワシの目に

sighs of a mother 
after the night-long labour ...
cloud burst

母のため息
一晩の労働の後
集中豪雨

pine cones ...
a wreath on the grave 
not visited for years 

松ぼっくり 
墓に花輪
何年も訪問していません

old drawers ...
I find
a new ‘me’

古い引き出し
見つけます
新しい「私」を

sickle moon ...
my wait lingers
at the window 

三日月
待機は長引く
窓に

sleeping volcano ...
this gathering rumble 
of my emotions

眠っている火山
この増大する低い声
私の感情の

long drive ...
distance between milestones 
covered in silence 

長いドライブ
マイルストーン間の距離
沈黙に覆われている

deafening silence ...
seeping into bones 
the autumn frost 

耳をつんざくような沈黙
骨に染み込む
秋の霜

amavasya (new moon) ...
