Results of the World Haiku Series 2022

It is my great delight and honor that I announce the results of the World Haiku Series 2022.

Thanks to the enthusiasm and support of haiku poets and haiku lovers around the world, we had congratulatory poems submitted in both Japanese and English.

We also had 130 submissions sent in Japanese, English, Russian, and Chinese.

Each writer’s haiku appear twice on the website.

First of all, the haiku are posted as they were.

Two days later, some comments appear along with Japanese translations of some haiku.

Congratulatory Haiku (3)

To our great delight, we had 27 congratulatory haiku presented from 5-year-old children at Aishin Preschool and Yotsuba Preschool in Shirataka Town, Yamagata Prefecture, Japan.

Furthermore, we had 7 congratulatory haiku and 3 congratulatory haiga presented by Zoe Grant, an 8-year-old haiku poet in New Zealand.

We also had 5 congratulatory haiku and 10 congratulatory chopstick paintings presented by Aino Shinyō, a KOTODAMA poetry artist in Akita City, Akita Prefecture, Japan.

Submissions (130)

We express our sincere gratitude to the authors who kindly and delightedly sent their fine works of haiku, photo haiku, or haiga, and photos.

We share their excellent works with our friends all over the world on the website.

We give a presentation of haiku by each poet and also introduce remarks.

We sincerely hope that their works of haiku are deeply, highly, and thoroughly appreciated through the presentation and the comments of haiku.

We also hope that haiku impress you and linger in your hearts.
