Let haiku be on the UNESCO list!
On January 21, 2015, Ms. Milica Perdic kindly sent me an e-mail as follows.
Dear Sirs,
Akito Arima and Hidenori Hiruta!
As a haiku poetess from Split, Croatia, I wish to thank you for all you do to have haiku recognized and accepted to The Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Vladimir Devidé, Crotian academician, mathematician, translator and haiku poet himself, wrote: “Japanese haiku is an elixir of Eternal life.”
Agreeing with him, I support your endeavours with all my heart.
Milica Perdic
Here is another e-mail.
Dear Mr Hidenori Hiruta,
I am sending you two my haiku.
Through the window
a square of moonlight shines
on the floor
No end in view
over the plane fields
in the winter fog
Warm regards,
Milica Perdic
