Let haiku be on the UNESCO list!

On January 19, 2015, Mr. Toni Pavleski, Macedonia, kindly sent me an e-mail as follows.

Dear Sirs, Akito Arima-san and Hidenori Hiruta-san,

You have my support from all my heart, for entrance of Haiku to The Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

I have been writing haiku for 15 years by now, he connected me with a number of poets of haiku, in a number of countries.

Haiku connected us, this short poem and an image of life itself.

We have built a very special relationship without any expectations of material kind, but only pure friendship and assistance to each other, in good will.

Haiku is a river, as it flows, it collects many a good man and woman.

I certainly hope we will altogether acquire what haiku truly deserves – to be a part of the humanity saved for future.

leap over a thorn

running away from the pain

паднеш ли ноќва

ќе се стопам снегулке

од чиста љубов

should you fall this night

the snowflake, I will melt

from pure love

padneš li noćas

pahuljo, otopit ću se

iz čiste ljubavi

не го препознав

моето црно куче

со руно од снег

I couldn’t recognize

my black dog

in fur of snow

ne prepoznah

svog crnog psa

u krznu od snijega
