World Haiku Series 2019 (73)
Haiku by Jay Friedenberg
the soft rustle
of meadow grass
the crackle and crunch
of river ice
the sun sets
on an old factory building
the fleeting shimmer
of a dragonfly’s wing
a milkweed bloom
becomes a monarch
night sky hallucination
at the Milky Way’s edge
coronal mass ejection
a spark shoots out
from the campfire flames
not seeing past
a fly touches down
on my pie crust
a shift in the glacier’s
state phase diagram
