Bio:

Maria Tirenescu is was born in Sacel, Maramures, in 1949.

She is a mathematics teacher at Cugir, Romania.

Her poems have been published in the magazines Haiku and Albatross ( Romania), Gong (Frace ) and Ploc! (magazine online, France).

She is present in the anthologies in Romania and in the publications Mainichi and Asahi (Japan).

She has won various prizes for haiku in Romania, Japan, France and India. She has published four volumes of haiku and a volume of haibun.
