君よりのいらへ無きをこぼしたれば即届きしボイスメッセージ
grumbling
about no-response —
I got
a voice-message from you
right away

霜ふりて靄ふかき朝ねず色の空よりもるる幽けき日輪
on a morning
with frost in deep mist…
the faint and
ethereal sunlight leaks
through the grey sky
3
朝霧に光幽けき日輪は坂に至りて暈を広ぐる
in morning mist
the sun with subtle light
spreads
halo circles
when I reach the slope
4
日輪は光暈たかく坂照らし靄に翳るは常盤木の杉
Halo encircling
the sun high in the sky
lights up the slope
evergreen cedars throw
the dark silhouette in the mist

たつたつと枕辺に聞く軒つたふ雫音は我が埋み火の如
a drip
by a drip from the eaves
the sound of drops
which I hear in the bedside is
like my banked fire

一夜にし銀雪おほふ杉山はみ空にかすみ遠くなりけり
overnight…
mountains of cedars covered
with the silver snow
have become blurry
and distant in the sky

ひゅうひゅうと風むごき雪うなりあげ一途なる野はひれ伏ししづむ
whoosh, whoosh…
winds blowing up the harsh snow
single-minded fields
become shrinking and prostrate
before them

雪しまくなか子ら二人ひた歩く 師走の寒波に山はしづまる
in the snowstorm
two children walk
nonchalantly…
the mountains stand silent in
the December cold wave

極月にしきふる雪はとめどなき天の嘆きか 一年（ひととせ）おもふ
I wonder
if the snow falling thick and fast
in December
was the endless heavenly lament …
I look back on the past year

こんこんと夜半ねぶりゆく我が闇は雪の重さの痛みに疼く
falling asleep…
my darkness at midnight
suffers
from the pain
of the weight of snow
