若い母親が言う
彼女の生まれたばかりの赤ちゃんに         

Note:
“hajimemashite” is a Japanese phrase, whose meaning is “How do you do?”

choosing mate
a bird sings love songs
Valentine’s Day

連れを選ぶため
鳥が愛の歌を歌う
バレンタイン・デー
  
misty sea
a sail floats
in the air

霧の海
帆が浮かぶ
空中に
 
enough hydrogen -
enjoying sun’s warmth
5 billion more years  

十分な水素
太陽の暖かさを楽しむ
もう50億年 

space walking
holding fast to each other
she and me 

宇宙散歩
お互いにしっかりと抱きしめる
彼女と私

keeping reading
books and eye-drops
side by side

読み続ける
本、そして目薬
並んで
 
hatsumode
my mother dressed in
a new kimono
