shadow of leaves
over leaves
autumn moon

葉の影
葉の上に
秋の月
**
sunset
boatman's pole
lengthens

日没
船頭のポールが
長くなる
**
touching the puddle
ripples
in the moon

水たまりに触れる
波紋
月に
**
white lilies
yellow tinged-
twilight

白いユリ
黄色に染まる
トワイライトで
**
hibiscuses
redder than ever
last night rains

ハイビスカス
これまで以上に赤い
昨夜の雨
**
morning breeze
dry leaves
take a stroll

朝のそよ風
乾燥した葉が
散歩する
**
monsoon sky
the birds
flying to a distant dream

モンスーンの空
小鳥が
遠い夢へ飛ぶ
**
thousands of years
in my pocket
pebbles

数千年
私のポケットに
小石
**
as the snail
vacates...sea
fills the shell

カタツムリが
立ち退くとき 海が
貝を満たす
**
stars take
a dip in the pond
moon yet to come

星が池に
浸る
月がまだ出てこない

Bio:

Ram Chandran  is a Corporate Lawyer by profession and a freelance journalist.

He has been writing English poems since his college days and has written poems and short stories in many elite literary magazines.

A haijin since 2020, he has written more than 1200 haiku, haibun, senryu, and haiga/photo haiku.
