叢雲のうすらうつらふあたりより紫光は降りて神はひろがる

purple light

descending from around

clouds

moving in and out

God spreads out

上弦や今宵の光たまひたり分析の理に不確実解く

waxing moon…

gives me tonight’s light

thanks to

the logic of your analysis

my uncertainty is clarified

鳥海山　峰たつ雲に開かれず長月の空清(す)む奇しき朝

Mt. Chokai…

invisible due to clouds

around the summit

a fine mysterious morning

in September

「いや待て」とここに声あり忘れもの探ねてかへる来しかたの道

“No, wait！”

a voice here; I go back

to the path

looking for something

I’ve forgotten

名月や隈なき空を微睡(まどろみ)の面影うつし静かにわたる

harvest moon

through the clear sky 

in silence

giving me your silhouette 

in my daydream

天空に山かすむなか白萩の多（さわ）に咲きゆるポストへの道

hazy mountains

in the sky

white bush clovers

lively, blooming, and waving

…my way to the post

艶やかに入りつ絡みつ紅萩の地へと咲きしだる風白き中

beautifully

pink bush clovers entangling

and drooping

each other to the earth

in the white breeze

いまだすり替へる言葉の足らず野に我をはなちて露を見入りぬ

still lacking

of words to replace 

myself

I release to the fields

seeing dewdrops

鷺一羽にはか羽ばたく暗暗たる川辺の葦の繁(しげ)の中より

a heron

suddenly flaps wings

to fly

from the dark and dark

dense reeds by the riverside

空にはか朱色に変じ隅々透くナンマドル去る逢魔が刻(とき)に　

the sky suddenly

turns into vermilion

then…

permeating all at dusk

Super Typhoon Nanmadol left our area early on September 20, 2022. That evening, we saw an eerie sunset. After it, the temperature dropped sharply, and cool autumn arrived here.
