this circle that is earth
ours to stewardship

a shiver through the trees–
sound of windchimes

in a dawn serenade
the rain

wildflower –
what’s the price of heaven’s rain
to today’s damp soil

seeds of love planted
in soft soil of tomorrow
hope and earthworms task

a peacock ginger
blossom and leaf
