Haiku by Ljiljana Dobra

 

one moon ‘s in the sky

another one’s in the river

 the cross-eyed dog

 

一つの月は空に

もう一つは川に

やぶにらみの犬

 

the tree of jasmine

by its oriental scent

makes the nightingale drunk

 

ジャスミンの木

東洋の香りにより

ナイチンゲールを酔わせる

 

the country graveyard

is full of  busy ants

autumn is aging

 

田舎の墓地

忙しいアリでいっぱい

秋が更ける

 

he’s  sawing a tree

sweat on his hair and forehead

is dried by my eye

 

彼は木を切っている

彼の髪と額に汗

私の目で乾かされる

 

from a child’s hand
the sun ate ice cream
with pleasure

 

子供の手から

太陽がアイスクリームを食べた

喜んで

 

two swans lying

on a frozen grass

melting frost

 

二羽の白鳥が横たわっている

凍った草の上に

溶けていく霜

 

still counts the swallows

an old man with the bent back

years are flying off

 

まだツバメを数えている

背中を曲げた老人

年があっという間に過ぎて行く

arriving and leaving

in the old window

 

イメージが次々に

着いたり出たり

古い窓に

 

from old forests

grow young maple trees – 

fire of a flamingo

 

古い森から

若いカエデの木が育つー

フラミンゴの火

 

on the top of a hill

leafless trees

combing the clouds

 

丘の上

葉のない木

雲をさっと掃きならす

Lives and works at: Šibenik, Hrvatska

Career: Economist

Ljiljana Dobra writes and publishes poetry and her verses have been published in a number of joint collection in Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania.

She also published six collections or lyrical poems.

She takes part in haiku contests and gatherings of poets, publishing her haiku in variety of miscellanies, as well.

 

She likes to spend a lot of time in nature and take pictures, kindly and delightedly presenting six photos to this series.
