Bringing the inside out –
the crimson
rosella
裏返しにするー
真紅の
ヒラオインコ
Ah! Look now:
the tears
of the sun
ああ! 今見てごらん:
涙を
太陽の
A bemused dragonfly
studying
the bee’s knees
当惑したトンボ
観察している
蜂の膝を
Waves reign and wave in
the barking
breakers
波が支配する、波
吠えている
波浪の
The grass-spear;
a wayward
ant’s freeway
草槍;
わがままな
アリの高速道路
See – the two pine trees
grow nearer
together
見てごらん–二本の松の木
近づいている
一緒に
At world’s end – the words
I would
leave you
世界の終わりに–言葉
私が残すだろう
あなたに
The split in the axe handle:
a cracker
of a frost
斧のハンドルの割れ目:
割った物
霜の
Rain patter –
the Bodhi tree’s
wind chime
雨のパラパラ打つ音-
菩提樹の

Unattended note-book,

Stefanie Bennett has published twelve volumes of poetry, a libretto and a novel.
She has tutored in The Institute Of Modern Language at James Cook University & worked with Arts Action For Peace – now ICAN; Nobel Peace Prize 2017.
Of mixed heritage [Italian/Irish/Paugussett-Shawnee] she was born in Queensland, Australia in 1945.
