Haiku by Ashok K. Bhargava
between my canvas
and paintbrush
a wild parakeet
dry jasmine tea flowers
re-open, steeping in the pot
pour cheery promises
life journey
a bouquet of flowers
petals fall one at a time
holding autumn
between my palms
a bunch of dry leaves
blood-red leaves
falling with the Fall
to make spring green
the whole sky
a garden of dark clouds
under the warm sun
mantra chants, incense aroma
miles from India
temple bell sounds of home
find the path
sit back
it was there all along
the murky, muddy pond
the unstained lotuses
evoke purity and beauty
a candle burns silently
it’s the light
that talks and says it all
bee stings a honey-thief
humans talk sweet
and rob

Congratulations!
Ashok.
I was arrested by this haiku:
bee stings a honey-thief
humans talk sweet
and rob
I follow a completely plant-based diet, so honey is big – No no for me.
I would like to have your email id, please.
Great haiku Ashok! You are really coming into your own -great to see!
