Short Bio:
Mary Jo ( Jo) was formerly a concert pianist and harpsichordist.
She began writing poetry in 2005 to give witness to the life of her grandson who died that year.
In 2009, she lost her hearing in the ICU.
Now it would only be the poetry of words.
In 2014, she fell in love with Japanese forms–haiku, haibun.
It has become her way of life.
She is grateful for all who have helped and continue to help along the way.
Here are two photos presented by Ms. Jo Balistreri.
A fantastic and sublime collection, perhaps one of the strongest in this series so far.
