rough sea…
the taste of salt
on my lips

 

荒海

塩の味

私の唇に

 

sunrise…
the pink
of her cheeks

 

日の出

ピンクの色

彼女の頬の

 

the smile
I wear…
poppies

 

笑顔

私は浮かべている

ケシの花

 

flowers
blooming…
youth

 

咲いている

若さ

 

the joy
in his eyes…
true love

 

喜び

彼の目に

真実の恋

 

a desire…
daisy
petals

 

欲望

デージー

花びら

 

sunset…
painting my lips
red

 

夕焼け

私の唇を描く

赤に

 

shorts and shirt…
a girl runs
towards summer

 

短パンとシャツ

女の子が走る

夏に向かって

 

spring hailstorm…
a carpet
of rose petals

 

春のあられの嵐

カーペット

バラの花びらの

 

a thin rain

Bio:
Rosa Maria Di Salvatore, born in Catania (Italy) where she lives, has a degree in foreign languages and literatures and has been a teacher of English literature in the secondary schools.

When she retired, having more free time, she has had the opportunity to express her emotions and sensations and she has begun her poetic activity. She loves writing haiku and other forms of poetry both in Italian and English.

Her poetries, published in several literary magazines and anthologies, have let her to collect a lot of flattering awards.

She has published eight collections of poetries… one of these is a collection of haiku and tanka whose title is “In the shade of the cherry-trees in bloom” – Il Convivio Editore – Castiglione di Sicilia (CT) – 2017.

Her haiku are published in on-line magazines and journals –
Incense Dreams, Le Lumachine, Memorie di una geisha, Otata, Stardust Haiku, Luca’s Lily Pad, Chrysanthemum, Charlotte Digregorio’s Writer’s Blog, The Mainichi, Haikuniverse, Hedgerow, Autumn Moon Haiku, The Haiku Foundation, Failed Haiku and many others. Some of her haiku were translated into German and published in Chrysanthemum. She was selected to the European Top 100 most creative haiku authors (2018).
